Event

Unionized air traffic controllers employed by NAV Brasil Servicos de Navigacao Aerea) have suspended a series of one- and two-hour daily strikes originally planned to take place at least 23 airports nationwide between Oct. 9-21. The move follows a late Oct. 6 preliminary ruling by the Superior Labor Court ordering the air traffic controllers to remain on the job.

Plans for a strike could be reinstated if union leaders successfully appeal the court's initial decision.
