Ireland: Activists plan protest in Dublin Oct. 7

The Cost of Living Coalition plans to protest at Parnell Square in Dublin from 13:00 Oct. 7. The action is in response to and in opposition to the rising rate of inflation. A related event in September 2022 saw participation in the low thousands; a similar turnout is possible, Oct. 7.

Security personnel will likely deploy to monitor and manage the demonstration. The action could result in some localized road travel disruptions as protest attendees arrive and later depart the area. Violence is unlikely.
