Unruly demonstrators continue to set fires to vehicles in the area and have reportedly set fire to a Holiday Inn Express at the intersection of O'Connell Street and Cathal Brugha Street; a tram has also been set on fire. Authorities have deployed heavily to the area and closed several roads to the public, including O'Connell Street. All bus services in the city have been suspended. The demonstrations began on Parnell Street and spread to other city areas, including Parliament Street.
