Netherlands: Climate activists plan protest in The Hague, Dec. 15
Extinction Rebellion group plans to protest at TotalEnergies premises in The Hague, Netherlands, from 12:00 Dec. 15; disruptions likely.
The environmental activist groups Extinction Rebellion (XR) and Christian Climate Action plan to protest at TotalEnergies premises in The Hague, Dec. 15. The groups will denounce an oil pipeline project, EACOP, in Tanzania and Uganda. Activists will gather at the TotalEnergies building on Bezuidenhoutseweg from 12:00. It is not known how many will take part in the action.
Additional police will likely be deployed to monitor the protest. XR activists may block roads in the vicinity, which may prompt localized transport disruptions. The demonstration is likely to pass off peacefully.
