Unionized bus workers end strike in Sao Luis, Maranhao State, Brazil, as of Feb. 9. Lingering disruptions likely.
Bus workers affiliated with the Sindicato dos Trabalhadores em Transportes Rodoviarios no Estado do Maranhao (STTREMA) in the Sao Luis Metropolitan Area, Maranhao State, have ended their labor strike as of Feb. 9. The decision comes following an agreement between the Regional Labor Court (Tribunal Regional do Trabalho, TRT) and union leaders on Feb. 8. All services are planned to resumed from Feb. 9.
Lingering disruptions are possible as services resume across Sao Luis.
