Unionized train workers affiliated with La Fraternidad (The Fraternity) Union plan to strike for 24 hours on June 4 in the Buenos Aires Metropolitan Area to demand higher salaries. The protest action is likely to cause significant disruptions in rail services in the region, halting operations in the Roca, San Martin, Sarmiento, Mitre, and Belgrano train lines.

Ground transport disruptions are likely into early June 5. Due to the train strike, subway, bus, and taxi services are likely to have higher congestion than usual.
