Suspected militants attacked a military detachment in Pendjari National Park, near the Tanguieta area of Atakora Department on June 4. The ambush left at least seven soldiers dead. It is unclear whether the measure remains in force as of June 2024. Other measures may include a ban on gatherings and the use of select vehicles.
