Curacao: JetAir declared bankrupt, flight operations ceased indefinitely
Flight disruptions possible in Caracoa after JetAir indefinitely ceases flight operations following a June 18 bankruptcy ruling.
Disruptions to air travel are possible nationwide as JetAir (4J), a Curacao air carrier, has indefinitely ceased flight operations and canceled all flights. On June 18, the Curacao Court of First Instance declared JetAir, which operates under the joint name of United Caribbean Airlines B.V. and JetAir Caribbean B.V., bankrupt and froze all assets.
Impacted passengers are directed to the carrier's website for updates and contact information for claims regarding ticket refunds.
Contact the airline if impacted by the cancellations. Rebook flights on alternative airlines as soon as possible. Do not check out of accommodations until onward travel is confirmed.
