Taxi drivers plan to protest with their vehicles at the intersection of Spyrou Patsi and Leof. Athinon from 10:30. They will then travel to the Council of State on Panepistimou Street starting at 12:00. to join other affected workers for a protest from 12:00. Taxi drivers, on the other hand, will gather with their vehicles at the intersection of Spyrou Patsi and Leoforos Athinon from 10:30; it is unclear whether the taxi drivers will remain at that location or will proceed to meet up with demonstrators rallying at the Council of State. It is also unclear how many participants the events may draw.
Heightened security and localized transport disruptions are likely near the two announced demonstration locations. Travel disruptions are particularly likely near the taxi drivers' protest. Low-level confrontations between demonstrators and law enforcement officers cannot be ruled out.
Avoid the protest areas as a standard precaution. Allow additional time if traveling near either gathering site. Strictly heed all instructions from law enforcement officers. Immediately depart the area at the first sign of any security disturbance.
