Ireland: Aer Lingus staff suspends work-to-rule strike nationwide as of late July 10 /update 3
Unionized Aer Lingus pilots suspend work-to-rule strike across Ireland as of late July 10. Reconfirm flights.
Aer Lingus (EI) pilots union has announced an immediate suspension of a nationwide work-to-rule strike in Ireland as of late July 10. The suspension follows the union’s recommendation that its members accept a Labor Court-brokered salary increment proposal. The airline has canceled more than 500 flights since the strike started June 26. It is not immediately clear if the suspension of the strike will impact flights that had been canceled July 11-16.
Lingering disruptions are possible after the strike ends as staff work to reposition aircraft and clear passenger backlogs. Operating flights may also face some delays.
Reconfirm flight arrangements and schedules if booked to fly on Aer Lingus or associated airlines. Do not check out of accommodations before reconfirming onward travel.
