Public workers affiliated with the Government Workers Association (Asociacion de Trabajadores del Estado, ATE) of Buenos Aires plan to gather outside the Finance Ministry of Buenos Aires on Martin Garcia Street from 11:00 on Aug. 13 to demand higher salaries from local authorities. Hundreds are likely to participate in the protest.
Heightened security and transport disruptions in the area are likely through the afternoon of Aug. 13. Isolated skirmishes between protesters and police cannot be ruled out.
