Officials have confirmed that all 62 people who were on board VoePass Linhas Aereas (2Z) Flight 2283, including 58 passengers and four crew members, are deceased after the passenger plane crashed in the Capela neighborhood of Vinhedo, Sao Paulo State, on Aug. 9. The flight departed from Cascavel Airport (CAC) and was scheduled to arrive at Sao Paulo/Guarulhos International Airport (GRU). The plane reportedly spiraled as it descended and then crashed in a yard, emitting a large plume of black smoke and starting a fire. The accident damaged one home but did not injure anyone on the ground. Authorities deployed emergency responders to the scene of the crash, the cause of which was not immediately reported. Officials will probably provide updates over the coming hours.
