The altercation, which reportedly started with an argument between an Israeli tourist and an Egyptian hotel worker, left several people with stab wounds. At least three Israelis and two Egyptians were injured; some sources have claimed that six people were wounded. Security forces have deployed to the scene of the incident. Some of those injured have been transported to the Taba border crossing, and Israeli Magen David Adom emergency medical personnel have been dispatched to the Israeli-Egyptian border.
