Mexico: Activists blocking traffic along Federal Highway 85 in Ecatepec, Mexico State, Aug. 5

Activists are disrupting transport along Federal Highway 85 (Autopista Mexico-Pachuca) in Mexico State on Aug. 5. The purpose of the action is to denounce a local judge who protesters accuse of dispossessing them of land in Ecatepec. Participants are gathered near the El Vigilante sculpture. The demonstration has led to traffic congestion for those attempting to enter Mexico City.

Disruptions to local transit are almost certain to continue over the duration of the protest.
