Authorities are responding to a large fire at the Finsa industrial park in the Santa Catarina area of Monterrey, Nuevo Leon State, as of the evening of Aug. 5. The incident began at approximately 15:30 in a storage area for highly flammable chemicals. At least four people were injured, and more than 200 people evacuated.

A heightened security presence will likely occur in the affected area over the coming hours. Transport and business disruptions are probable. Officials may issue evacuation orders for businesses in the area. Heavy smoke from the fire may worsen the surrounding area's air quality.

Avoid the affected area until authorities give the all-clear. Seek alternative routes and allow additional time for travel near the affected site.
