Authorities responding to an explosion and subsequent fire at Sadhana Nitro Chem Ltd chemical factory near Roha, Maharashtra State, Sept. 12. Initial reports indicate an explosion occurred in a storage tank at 11:15, causing two fatalities and four injuries. Firefighters are at the scene attempting to control the fire. Additional information will be provided in the coming hours.

Heightened security and localized transport disruptions are likely near the affected area, particularly near National Highway 548A and 66. Authorities may restrict access to nearby roads to facilitate the movement of emergency vehicles. Officials may also mandate building evacuations in the vicinity as a precaution until clearance operations and investigations end.
