Authorities are disposing of an unexploded WWII bomb on Vlajkoviceva Ulica near the National Assembly in Belgrade as of late afternoon Sept. 18. Workers reportedly discovered a 240-kilogram (529-pound) bomb during the construction of a parking garage. Authorities are responding, and part of Blajkoviceva Ulica is closed. It is not known when the operation will end.

Heightened security and localized transport disruptions will likely continue until authorities give the all-clear. Lingering disruptions are likely following the end of the disposal operation.

Avoid the operation area. Allow additional time if traveling near the affected section of Vlajkoviceva Ulica. Strictly heed all instructions from authorities.
