LGBTQ activists are staging a Pride march in Rosario on Oct. 5. Event organizers announced that participating activists would gather at Plaza Libertad during the afternoon hours for a fair at the site and then march toward Parque Nacional a la Bandera from 17:00 via Bartolome Mitre, Avenida Pellegrini, Calle Buenos Aires, and Calle Cordoba. After the march ends at around 20:00, a related festival will reportedly be held in the vicinity of Parque Nacional a la Bandera. Authorities have implemented traffic diversions in the area. The number of people who would participate in the march and other events was not immediately clear.

Authorities will likely deploy a heightened security presence to the march route. Transport disruptions will probably affect the area over the coming hours; business disruptions are also possible. Counterdemonstrations and skirmishes between activists and police cannot be ruled out.
