Bangladeshi officials will likely suspend maritime traffic near several coastal regions through at least early October due to severe weather conditions. The Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Authority (BIWTA) has indicated that certain passenger and cargo transport services via river launches or other vessels will be suspended indefinitely between Dhaka and various other locations, including Betua, Char Montaz, Hatiya Island, Khepupara, Monpura Island, and Rangabali.
