Informational

Anti-fascist groups plan to protest at the Metro Station in New Heraklion, Athens, from 18:30 Nov. 1. Campaigners led by the Organization of Militant Antifascism (ORMA) will denounce a potential memorial event to be held by right-wing groups. It is not clear how many will take part in the event.

Local authorities will likely to deploy heightened security to the protest site, to facilitate the event and to ensure that rival groups remain separated. Road closures and localized transport disruptions are possible in the vicinity of New Heraklion. Confrontations and scuffles between activists and security forces, or between rival groups, remain possible.

Avoid all protests as a standard precaution. Allow additional time if traveling near to the protest site. Heed instructions from authorities. Depart the area immediately at the first sign of violence.
