Unionized healthcare workers plan to strike across Crete, Nov. 6. Leaders of multiple healthcare labor unions will demand increased investment in public hospitals and primary care. The campaign is supported by labor unions from multiple other sectors. Organizers have planned a demonstration in Eleftherias Square, Heraklion, from 17:30 Nov. 6. Striking healthcare workers from across Crete will likely take part; it is possble that several hundred to low thousands may join the event.
