Political activists protesting at Shannon Airport, County Clare, Ireland, Oct. 12; increased security in place.
Political activists affiliated with the Irish Anti-War Movement and other groups are protesting at Shannon Airport (SNN), Shannon, as of the afternoon of Oct. 12. The purpose of the protest is to denounce the use of SNN for military purposes in connection to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East. There are no reports of disruptions to operations at SNN
