Political activists affiliated with the Irish Anti-War Movement and other groups are protesting at Shannon Airport (SNN), Shannon, as of the afternoon of Oct. 12. The purpose of the protest is to denounce the use of SNN for military purposes in connection to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East. There are no reports of disruptions to operations at SNN

An increased security force presence has been deployed to monitor and manage the protest. Localized road travel and transport disruptions are likely on the roads leading to the airport. Delays could affect passenger processing operations at SNN.

Allow additional travel time upon reaching SNN through Oct. 12. Reach SNN facilities ahead of the planned flights due to possible road travel delays. Follow all official instructions.
