Informational

Hospitality sector workers plan to protest in central Dublin from 13:00 on Oct. 15. Leaders of the Restaurants Association of Ireland are calling on workers from across the sector to demand lower tax rates on small businesses. Attendees will assemble from 13:00 at the Pepper Canister Church on Mount St Upper, and then march to Leinster House where they will demonstrate 14:00-16:00. It is likely that several hundred to more than a thousand participants may attend.

Increased security, localized transport disruptions, and business disruptions are likely in the vicinity of the protest. The event will likely pass off peacefully.

Avoid the march as a standard precaution and consider seeking alternative routes to circumvent the impacted area. Heed all instructions from local authorities. Allow extra time to reach destinations in central Dublin during the demonstration.
