Peru: Scheduled water outages to occur in Lima on Nov. 28
Water outages are scheduled across Lima, Peru, on Nov. 28 due to maintenance; business disruptions are possible.
The Lima Drinking Water and Sewerage Service (Servicio de Agua Potable y Alcantarillado de Lima, Sedapal) plans to conduct a third day of maintenance on water supply infrastructure in Lima on Nov. 28. Outages will impact Barranco, Cercado de Lima, Lurigancho, Rimac, San Antonio de Huarochiri, and Santiago de Surco.
Business disruptions are possible during planned outages, especially for companies that rely on large quantities of municipal water for their operations. The water outages could extend beyond the estimated duration.
Stock up on drinking water and confirm alternative water supplies for business operations. Use only bottled water from reputable suppliers for drinking and hygienic purposes. Pressure and water quality may be poor after service resumes; run taps for several minutes before using water. Minimize nonessential water use for the duration of the disruptions.
