Disruptions likely due to ongoing protest outside the Universidad del Valle in Cali, Colombia, Dec. 5. Clashes possible.
Disruptions are likely around the Universidad del Valle's Melendez campus in southern Cali into late Dec. 5 due to an ongoing protest in the area. Demonstrators have blocked transit along Avenida Pasoancho, along with having set fire to at least one motorcycle. Public transport has been rerouted and is not providing services in the area; some nearby businesses have been temporarily closed.
Clashes between demonstrators and police are possible. Additional acts of vandalism and violence are also possible.
Avoid the area until the protest ends and the participants have dispersed. Allow extra time to reach destinations in the general vicinity of the campus through late Dec. 5.
