Colombia: Flight disruptions likely at several airports nationwide due to ongoing airport workers' strike as of Dec. 4

Flight delays and cancellations likely at international airports across Colombia as of Dec. 4 due to ongoing migration officials' strike.

Warning

Migracion Colombia employees at international airports across Colombia maintain a strike as of Dec. 4 to demand increased salaries and fewer working hours. The strike was launched Dec. 3. Workers have not fully abandoned their posts, but are performing their duties much slower than usual, creating major delays and long lines for travelers attempting to travel, especially at El Dorado International Airport (BOG) in Bogota, the busiest airport in the country. Disruptions at other terminals have also been reported.

Significant disruptions are likely for travelers, including some flight delays and cancellations, and several hours to enter the terminal.

Reconfirm or reschedule flight reservations if booked to travel to or from airports across Colombia. Do not check out of accommodations until onward travel is confirmed. Allow additional time to travel to the airport. Consider booking alternative travel arrangements if necessary.
