UK: Flight disruptions continue at Heathrow Airport Dec. 22

Adverse weather conditions continue to prompt flight disruptions at London's Heathrow Airport (LHR) on Dec. 22. Authorities at the facility have canceled over 100 flights since Dec. 21 amid high winds. Around 80 of the canceled flights are British Airways (BA) flights, predominantly on domestic and European flights. It is unclear when weather conditions will allow for the resumption of ordinary flight services, although weather warnings associated with the disruptions are scheduled to be lifted from 21:00.

Residual flight disruptions are likely at LHR over the coming hours, especially in the event that airlines need to clear any flight backlogs or reposition aircraft.
