Turkey: 6.7 magnitude earthquake off the coast of Bodrum 7/20

In the early morning of Friday, July 21, a 6.7 magnitude earthquake was reported 10 km (6 mi) off of the resort town Bodrum and near the Greek island of Kos. The European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) reported a small tsunami, advising people in the Bodrum area to avoid beaches and seek high ground. According to a Turkish media source, a 4.6 magnitude aftershock hit at 01:52 (local time).

According to local officials, initial reports indicate no major damages, with a small amount of people suffering minor injuries. There were also reports of power outages in the Mugla province.
