Staff at Aerolíneas Argentinas and Austral airlines to strike nationwide October 31; major flight disruptions likely

Employees at the national airline Aerolíneas Argentinas - including its sister company Austral Líneas - will be on strike throughout the country on Tuesday, October 31, to demand increased salaries amid high levels of inflation. The strike has been called for by five different unions, who claim the action will result in the suspension of the entirety of flights scheduled for October 31. Residual disruptions are also possible on November 1.

Aerolíneas Argentinas is the largest airline in Argentina, with hubs in the Buenos Aires airports of Ezeiza (EZE) and Aeroparque Jorge Newbery (AEP).
