Spain: Madrid airport fuel workers to launch partial strikes July 18

Airplane refueling workers represented by the USO and UGT unions are planning to launch indefinite weekly partial strikes at Madrid-Barajas Adolfo Suárez Airport (MAD) starting on Thursday, July 18. Two-hour work stoppages will take place every Thursday and Saturday from 03:00-05:00, 10:00-12:00, and 16:00-18:00 (local time). The workers are employed by a company that supplies fuel to the main airlines at MAD, including Iberia, Ryanair, and Vueling. Flight disruptions, including delays and cancelations, are possible on strike days.
