Ireland: Flight disruptions at Dublin Airport (DUB) due to Storm Dennis February 15-16

Officials at Dublin Airport (DUB) announced the cancelation of some flights to or from DUB scheduled on Saturday, February 15, due to the passage of Storm Dennis. They also said that the weather conditions may cause further delays and disruptions, and advised travelers to confirm their flight details with their airline. Some flights scheduled to arrive at or depart from DUB on Sunday, February 16, are delayed as of the early morning (local time) hours of Sunday.

Met Éireann has issued orange wind warnings until 13:30 on Sunday for western Ireland, and yellow wind warnings until 15:00 on Sunday for eastern Ireland. It forecasts southwest winds with average speeds between 50 and 80 kph (31-50 mph) and severe gusts of up to 120 kph (75 mph) to impact the country, particularly on exposed hills and coasts. The weather agency also warned of the risk of coastal flooding. 

Related transportation disruptions to land, rail, air, and ferry services, hazardous driving conditions, and power outages are therefore to be expected over the coming hours and days.
