Dutch police arrested dozens of anti-lockdown demonstrators on Tuesday, May 5, in The Hague amid the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic. Prior to the arrests, The Hague mayor Johan Remkes had ordered an end to the demonstration, which was in contravention of a nationwide ban on public gatherings. A smaller associated protest also took place in Utrecht, although there were no arrests reported.
