German authorities announced on Sunday, September 20, that thousands of people turned out in multiple cities nationwide to denounce coronavirus (COVID-19) restrictions. In Berlin, an estimated 5000 people were reported to have attended rallies in the city. Associated demonstrations also took place in Dusseldorf, Cologne, Munich, and Leipzig.

Further associated demonstrations are likely in urban centers nationwide in the near term.
