Ground travel disruptions are possible on routes leading to and from Nongoma, Kwazulu-Natal Province, through mid-March following the death of the Zulu monarch, King Goodwill Zwelithini. Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi has indicated that the body of the king will be transported to the Royal Palace at Nongoma where mourners will be able to pay their respects. Formal funeral arrangements have not been announced as of the afternoon March 12. Additional official and unofficial commemorative gatherings are possible across the province in the coming days.
