Germany: Police operation ongoing at the Allee-Center in Essen April 7

A police operation is underway at the Allee-Center in Essen the evening of April 7. Police have evacuated the surrounding area while they conduct investigations following an anonymous bomb threat made against the shopping mall. Security cordons are prompting localized transport disruptions. Trains are not stopping at Altenessen Mitte Station and nearby roads are closed to traffic; public transport normally routed through the area has been suspended or diverted.
