Healthcare workers and their supporters will protest in urban centers across Germany, May 12, to mark International Nurses Day. Participants will denouce poor working conditions and low pay. The largest protest will likely take place in Berlin, where participants will gather outside the Bundestag in Platz der Republik from 11:30. Further protests are confirmed at the following times and locations:

  • Dresden: Altmarkt at 16:00

  • Hamburg: Rathausmarkt at 17:00

  • Wiesbaden: Herbertenlage Park near the Wiesbaden Central Station at 17:00

Further gatherings are likely in additional towns and cities nationwide. Attendance will vary by location from dozens to possibly thousands at larger gatherings. Heightened security is likely at all related events. The protests and related security measures will likely prompt localized disruptions. Clashes are unlikely.
