Police continue to investigate a shooting incident at the London Pub nightclub in central Oslo June 25. The club is located along Rosenkratz Street, an area with multiple bars and restaurants. Police have detained the shooter, who opened fire outside the establishment and opened fire, killing two and wounding up to 19 more. Police are investigating the incident as either a terrorist incident or a hate crime, as the nightclub is popular with the LGBTQ community. Following the shooting organizers of the Oslo LGBTQ pride parade, scheduled for later June 25, canceled the event on the advice of authorities. Police have further stated the shooter was known to them, having a criminal record that includes narcotics and weapons possession offenses.

Heightened security and local disruptions are likely to remain until police conclude their investigations.
