Activists are planning a Pride March in Guanajuato, Guanajuato State, late July 16 to demonstrate support for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer (LGBTQ) rights. Participants will gather from 17:00 at the Ambassador's Garden (Jardin Embajadores) and start marching from 18:30. The march route will go through the Plaza de la Paz and along Cinco de Mayo Street to finish at the Alhondiga de Granaditas Museum. Afterwards, there will be a street party at Plaza de la Paz. Authorities report that they intend to maintain a heightened security presence.

Hundreds to thousands are likely to participate in the event. Violence is not anticipated. Transit disruptions are likely in central Guanajuato.
