Several hundred farmers, accompanied by around 200 tractors, are protesting outside the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture on Rochusstrasse in Bonn on the morning of Aug. 15; the protest is scheduled to conclude around 15:00. Police have closed Rochusstrasse to vehicular traffic between Villemombler Strasse and Provinzialstrasse to facilitate the demonstration. Organizers are denouncing EU plans to reduce the use of pesticides in agriculture.
