Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) employees plan to demonstrate outside the KPC headquarters located in Kuwait City's Shuwaikh Industrial area from 10:30 Dec. 12. The purpose of the demonstration is to demand better working conditions. Dozens to a few hundred people may attend the gathering.
Officials are likely to deploy some security personnel to monitor the action. Some localized ground travel disruptions are possible if protesters attempt to march along nearby road routes. Confrontations between demonstrators and police are possible if participants ignore orders to disperse.
