A Malian military vehicle hit a landmine in the central Mopti region on Friday, March 9. According to military officials, the blast killed four soldiers and wounded two more. The soldiers were traveling through Dialloube when they hit the mine.

France maintains approximately 4000 troops stationed throughout the Sahel, in addition to the presence of local military troops.
