On Tuesday, July 10, the Mayor of La Paz introduced five security systems installed throughout the Rosario neighborhood to make the area safer for tourists. The British Embassy in Bolivia provided financial support for the project, which is being deployed as a pilot program. Each system features a button that puts distressed tourists in direct communication with La Paz police and enables tourists to receive any necessary help or protection. Additionally, each emergency box is equipped with a surveillance camera.
