Mali: Independence Day celebrations in Bamako September 22
Mali will celebrate its Independence Day on September 22 with main events taking place in Bamako; traffic disruptions expected

On Saturday, September 22, Mali will celebrate its 58th anniversary of independence from France. The main commemorative events will be held in the capital of Bamako. Security personnel from the Malian Armed Forces (FAMa), along with military units from friendly and neighboring countries, will hold a parade along the Avenue de la Nation during the day. Significant disruptions are expected in the ACI-2000 neighborhood throughout Saturday during the celebrations. Commercial and transportation disruptions are also possible throughout the rest of the city.
