Argentina: Nationwide demonstrations on October 28

Civil society and religious groups have called for nationwide demonstrations to take place on Sunday, October 28, to denounce education reforms proposed under the Comprehensive Sexual Education Law (ESI). In Buenos Aires, demonstrators are expected to rally at 17:00 (local time) at the Plaza del Congresso. In Córdoba, a march is scheduled at 17:00 along avenida General Paz. In Mar Del Plata, a rally is expected at 16:00 in front of the San Martín monument. Associated demonstrations are anticipated in other major urban centers throughout the country. A heightened security presence and transportation disruptions are to be expected near all demonstration sites.
