One death in bridge protest in Dhaka October 26, localized disruption expected

A transport worker was killed in clashes with security forces in the Keraniganj sub-district of the capital Dhaka on Friday, October 26. Workers had gathered at the Postogola Burigonga Bridge to protest a toll increase. Security forces used live ammunition to disperse the demonstrators. Temporary traffic disruptions are possible. Further such protests can be anticipated in the coming days.
