Argentina’s Ministry of Labor announced on Wednesday, December 12, that unionized airline pilots agreed to postpone a planned 48-hour strike – previously set to occur on December 13-14 – to allow for negotiations. According to Transport Minister Guillermo Dietrich, the government and the APLA and UALA unions will have 15 days to hold talks and reach an agreement. It is possible that the unions will proceed with the strike if negotiations with the government fail.
