Argentina: 5.5-magnitude earthquake hits Mendoza province June 19

A 5.5-magnitude earthquake struck approximately 70 km (43 mi) south-southwest of San Martin (Mendoza province) on Wednesday, June 19. According to the US Geological Survey (USGS), the quake hit at 22:23 (local time) at a depth of 149 km (93 mi). No damages were immediately reported. Aftershocks are possible in coming hours and days.
