Bolivia: Transportation strike scheduled in La Paz on July 15

Transportation strike will affect movement in La Paz on July 15; allow additional travel time

A 24-hour public transportation strike is scheduled for Monday, July 15, in La Paz, which is expected to cause system-wide disruption and the possibility of blocked roads. The strike will begin at 06:00 (local time).

Public transport employees are protesting new bus lines, fines, customer service checks, and other issues. They seek to speak with the city mayor directly about said issues, though have also vowed to continue the strike as of Wednesday, July 17, should authorities not open dialogue.

Associated traffic disruptions are expected throughout the day in La Paz.
