Bolivia: Forest fires under control in Santa Cruz as of September 26 /update 4
Armed Forces commander announces that forest fires are now under control as of September 26; operations still ongoing

Ongoing wildfires in the Pando, Beni, and Santa Cruz departments have been controlled, from a total of 8461 to an estimated 361, according to the Bolivian Armed Forces' commander in chief Williams Kaliman. Kaliman stated in a press conference that an estimated 1583 ground operations have been executed to tackle the blaze, with over 5800 staff assisting in the efforts. A total of 176 military vehicles, 40 tank cars, and 20 ambulances have also been mobilized since Friday, August 23, when the government began to tackle the flames.
Transportation and business disruptions are possible in the areas affected by the fires. Evacuation orders are not currently in effect but may be issued if the blazes continue to spread.
