The US Geological Survey (USGS) recorded a 5.8-magnitude earthquake about 63 km (39 mi) southwest of San Luis on Tuesday, November 19. According to the USGS, the quake hit at approximately 20:10 (local time) at a depth of 10 km (6 mi). There were no immediate reports of damages in the area.

Aftershocks are possible in the affected area over the coming hours and days.
